What is an MVAS certificate?
The MVAS 99 describes the expertise needed for traffic safety at road works in Germany. After suitable training, participants receive a certificate – often called the “MVAS certificate”. Clients ask for it when a person responsible for traffic safety has to be named.

How long is it valid?
The MVAS 99 itself sets no fixed expiry date for certificates. Regulations do change, though – most recently with the RSA 21 replacing the RSA 95. That is why regular refresher training is recommended, and many clients expect up-to-date proof.
MVAS.io certificates therefore state a recommended refresher after 2 years. We remind you by email in good time – companies see all upcoming dates in their company account.
How clients verify the certificate

The verification page only shows what is needed. Forged or altered PDFs are spotted immediately, because the data comes from our system, not from the file.
